INTRODUCTION

Our internship program at C3 Ballina is an exciting pathway for our young and young-at-heart people who want to invest into the future that God has for them.

WHY do an internship at C3 Ballina?

  • Discover and develop God’s calling on your life
  • Build a stronger relationship with Jesus
  • Develop and utilise your God-given gifts and talents in the local church

WHO can be an intern?

  • Christian for at least 12 months
  • Committed member of C3 Ballina for at least 6 months
  • Application requirements met

WHAT does it look like?

The internship program goes for one or two years (February to December) and involves certain commitments and opportunities. Interns will be working closely with the C3 Ballina key team to expand the mission of the church and to gain valuable experience for life and ministry.

Each month, interns will complete different courses through C3 College online and aim to outwork what they have learned in their day-to-day life as well as in the ministry area they are part of. They will be supported by mentoring and coaching through dedicated leaders in our church.

The internship program at C3 Ballina is free, but the intern is expected to pay for the courses at C3 College online. Once the intern has completed all aspects of the internship, a part of the fees will be reimbursed.

Safe Church Training & Code of Conduct

  • The Australian government now requires all volunteers in organisations like ours to understand the organisation's code of conduct and sign a form agreeing to abide by that.  At C3 Ballina, we have formulated a one-page code of conduct that simply states that no volunteer, while helping at church, will engage in dishonest practices or any form of abuse.  To meet these new regulations, we are required to have all our volunteers sign this document, regardless of the size of the role they play at church.  All volunteer roles require you to read the C3 Code of Conduct and sign the Volunteer Declaration stating that you will uphold this code.  Find the file here VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT for you to complete and return to desiree@c3ballina.com.au

  • The second administrative step to serving as a volunteer is to complete C3 Australia’s online Safe Church training course.  The training portal allows you to set up an account, so you can do the training in stages and it will save your progress.  There are videos to watch, some reading content, and a brief, straightforward quiz at the end of each section.  At the end, you will receive a certificate, which is valid for three years.  Once you receive this certificate, please forward it to me so we can update your records.  To access the portal for the first time, please head to: https://safercommunities.net.au/c3-online-training/, select C3 Ballina as the Church Name from the dropdown menu and follow the prompts.  There is a $20 registration fee.
