Day 2 — Acts 2
The Holy Spirit Comes
Chapter Summary
The Holy Spirit is poured out on the believers during Pentecost, and they begin speaking in different languages as crowds gather in amazement. Peter boldly preaches about Jesus, explaining that what the people are witnessing fulfills God’s promises. Thousands respond in repentance and are baptized, marking the birth of the early church. The believers begin living in deep community, sharing meals, praying together, and caring generously for one another.
Reflection Focus — Read Acts 2:42
The early church devoted themselves consistently to teaching, prayer, fellowship, and worship. Their faith was not occasional or private — it shaped the way they lived every day. Spiritual growth flourished because they intentionally pursued God together rather than in isolation. This passage reminds us that healthy faith requires both devotion to God and connection with others.
